PicCo HOW!: 35mm Film Cartridges

Welcome to the first Picture & Co. blog series: PicCo HOW! Maybe you are newly stepping into the world of film photography and it seems daunting and confusing. Maybe you just want to find out more before making a purchase. Regardless, we are here to help you! This is a specially curated series where you get to learn more about the film cameras and film cartridges that you are interested in and how to use them.

There are many different 35mm film cartridges and you are unsure of which to purchase. In this episode, we will be summarising the specifications of some film cartridges.

The Kodak Colorplus 200 is an affordable, consumer-friendly and entry-level negative 35mm film that produces quality photos with warm colors. It creates vivid photos with accurate colours, thus, best suited for taking portraits or experimenting and building your photography skills. However, do take note that the photo quality will drop when taken in poor lighting.

The Kodak Ultra Max 400 is a film used for taking high-quality photos, even in lower light, all at a reasonable price. It is also suitable for beginners. The sharpness and clarity from the fast speed, combined with an excellent colour rendering produces some impressive results. The Kodak Ultra Max 400 is great for everyday shots, but you might want to choose something else for those big, memorable life events.

Currently, we only sell these 2 film cartridges, but we do plan to bring in more soon!! STAY TUNED!! We hope you have learnt something new today! If you have any other enquires, do send us an email info@picturenco.com or click here.
